I miss you…

I feel like this is just a standard opening sentence for people whom you haven’t talked to in a while. Like they don’t even miss that person yet they feel obligated to say it in order to start the conversation. If you truly missed them, what made you take so long to talk to them. If you truly missed them, why do you disappear so easily when that one conversation is done. If you truly missed them, shouldn’t you at least try to regain what’s missing in your life?
